KICKBOXING
Kickboxing is a modern Martial Art, which is trained with the consideration that boxing gloves will be worn. Kickboxing is generally taught as a competition style with a 2 or 3 minute round format. Kickboxing is a fast, practical path to self defence and fitness, learning about athletic performance, a positive attitude to life & overall health and how to achieve it.

Dragon Fist Freestyle
DRAGON FIST FREESTYLE

Dragon Fist Freestyle (DFF) is a broad style that we have developed to incorporate skills from a variety of different Martial Art styles.

DFF is graded over 10 levels, which include boxing, kickboxing, Thai boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jin Wu Koon Kun Fu techniques, as well as street-smart weapon disarming. Strength and fitness would also be gained by training under the Dragon Fist Freestyle system. Read more...

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is predominantly a ground fighting art. It is a great extension to the stand up styles taught at the gym. BJJ is popular worldwide for its unique ground controls and finishes, which utilise body positioning as opposed to raw strength. Kung Fu at Double Dragon
BOXING SKILL & FITNESS
This class works with all of the skills that a professional boxer would develop. The class learns footwork various punching skills & angles defences & drills to develop true boxing skills. A really great workout, without the sparring. Advanced levels available.
Kids Classes at Double Dragon
AFTER SCHOOL KUNG FU - 6 to 12 years old

The objective of this program actually has very little emphasis on the fighting art, but utilises the motor skills, balance, co-ordination, strength, exercises & routines incorporated in our Traditional Jin Wu Koon Shaolin Kung Fu system, taught at Double Dragon Martial Arts Gym Sutherland.

 

Goal setting & achieving plus building self esteem are an integral parts of this programme, we have created 7 junior grades for the young students to focus on, the first 5 are badges, which give them specific challenges to achieve their goals. Our Boot Camp is a fun, high density circuit training program that will challenge you physically and mentally. It is 4 weeks of motivating training that will take your results to the next level.

STRONGMAN CLASS

Don’t be fooled by the title, these classes are for everyone, big, small, tall, short, young, old, male or female.

 

Strongman style training is a fun and different way of training. Utilizing odd shaped objects and specially designed equipment that builds tremendous core strength & endurance. It is a great way to improve performance across all sports, as it has a major focus on building functional stability in real life situations.

 

Some of the implements used are sand bags, kegs, stones, tractor tyres, sledge hammers, along with specially designed equipment such as super yoke, farmers walk, log, sleds, axles.

STRETCHING CLASS

Are you Tight? Can you touch your toes? Sore Back, Elbows, Knees, and Neck? Don’t know how to stretch correctly? Or just need more flexibility…

 

Not everybody wants to be a yogi or do Pilates, but still would like to reap the benefits of stretching, including increased flexibility, less joint pain, better circulation and faster recovery from workouts.

 

What we offer is a structured stretching class, run by qualified strength & conditioning coaches. The routines are tailored to each individual in the class, so no matter what your experience, you will be working at your appropriate level.
