Manuel ‘Chalate’ Rodriguez is set to fight on the huge Impact FC show, Sunday July 18. The card is stacked with some super stars, what a great opportunity for Manny to mix it up with the likes of Ken Shamrock, Bob Sapp, and Murilo “Ninja” Rua.

Adam Carroll will have his 2nd MMA bout on July 31st on the Xtreme MMA show @ Sydney Olympic Park. Good luck Adam, get out there and support him if you can!

In Kung Fu news, Adam Magee will grade for his red sash in Shaolin Kung Fu on the 7th of August. This is an absolutely huge achievement, Adam will be only the 3rd student to grade to red sash since Mick opened Double Dragon in 1983.

Manuel Rodriguez won a really hard fought battle at CFC 14 on Saturday night. Manny had a 3 round war with Rod MacSwain, and got the nod from the judges in the end. Lucky for all those conditioning sessions!

Ian was looking good against Jai Bradney, but found himself in an unfavourable position towards the end of round 1. The referee jumped in and stopped the fight, ruling a TKO. Unlucky mate, we thought you still had a lot left in you.

In under two weeks time, Double Dragon fighter Ian Schaffa will take on Jai ‘the Tooth Fairy’ Bradney in an exciting match up on the CFC 14 show at the Big Top, luna Park.

We have seen Ian training like a maniac lately, he is very motivated to get back in the cage and shake up the 70kg division. Jai Bradney recently beat Japan’s Masaya Doi via first round KO.

This bout is going to go off. Wish Ian luck, or even better, go along and cheer him on.

The boys did us all very proud today at the NSW State Pankration Championships, with some great wins and some close calls, great effort by everyone!

Sean Carroll won his fight, Shane Greenwood won two fights and was beaten in the final, and Phil Li fought a great fight but unfortunately didn’t get the win on the day.
